So I'm totally confused now. I have them in my 2006 Cab Chassis. I got a set out of a ute so I can tilt them forward, the driver's seat has electrics and it all works. My biggest drama was that the seat is about 25mm higher and reduces the amount of room between steering wheel and seat.
Really comfortable, had to revert back to the original after a run in the the DOT here in Perth but they will be going back in once thats all sorted.
So did DOT sticker ute for seats or other reasons and you taking out for ease of sticker removal? This is all speculation on my part as have had the pleasure of DOT:(

I have a set of FG seats installed complete with all the electrics using the huracan adapter mounts. The only Nissan part left is the seat belt clip. The backwards and forwards control is part of the Falcon seats. But as someone mentioned above there is a bit less room to get your legs between the steering wheel and the seat.
Can you post up any photos please mate?
Easy to do on your phone with the tapatalk app.

So by the looks of the photos you have used the hurran base
And then bolted the xr rails to them ?? If that is the case I can see how it would work . Unfortunately I was told you don't use the ford sliders you use the hurracans that they supplied . I will check later and see if it's even possible with what I have

That is correct, Huracan bases with the whole Ford assembly bolted to adapters. As you can see it does leave a lot more room under the seats. If you were an above average sized bloke I can imagine the clearance between the steering wheel would bother you.

So let me get this right. Huracan are now supplying frames to bolt into the floor as they did before but they have changed them and now also supply slider mechanisms which you must bolt tot he Ford seat bases???

For me a big part of the Ford seat conversion was to get a comfier seat as my originals were stop but also as improtantly to get a tilt adjustable amd height adjustable base and lumbar support to get seat exactly right position for me. If they have removed that functionality then part of the attractiveness of the conversion is lost.

Must admit too though that being a tad short for my weight ;) the gap to the wheel is a bit tight for getting in and out (out more than in) but the seating position otherwise is so perfect.

Looks good mate even if we can't work out how the hell they have changed the mounts. any chance you can take a couple of pics up underneath like scottspat did. I'm still trying to work out how they got them lower and how they removed the adjustment.

So once XR seats fitted.
Are they fixed??
Can’t be slid forwards or backwards?

If you go with the Huracan bases they have always had for/aft adjustment. The new bases though don't appear to allow any tilt adjustment, which appears to be how they have gotten them to sit lower. Even the DIY bases that have popped up on here from time to time still allow for/aft adjustment as they still use either the ford slides or adapt to the Nissan slides.

Thanks for info, I am now going to buy the huracane rails.
Not being able to slide the seat forward would have a nightmare for fitting in a SWB and access things out of the car.

If you want the tilt option you need by the XR ute seats, I had to sell my XR sedan seats as a SWB need the tilt option for the rear seats.

To be clear, when I was talking about tilt adjustment, I was referring to the seat base adjustment angle which is what you lose with the new lower Hurracan seat bases. Nothing to do with the seat back tilt forward function which as stated is a function of only the ute seats.

Read the existing threads. From what I've read you can modify the existing mounts and put the Ford rails on top but it's a lot of stuffing about and not legal. The Huracan adaptors simplify the job and will be passed by an inspecting engineer once presented with the paperwork that comes with the adaptors. You still need to get it blue plated for it to be fully legal.
is there any way to make the seats fitted on GU rails legal?
