Lol! Nah, didn't fv<k the roof! Just a little dent and some scratches from the hanging bar height warning thing.

With the roofracks and OEM wheels/tyres on it fitted in 2100 carparks. I took the roofracks off and put the 305s on.

Capalaba Park's UG carpark is 2000 or some such. I thought, well, the roofracks are AT LEAST 150 high... so that leaves me plenty of space... (50mm) and without a moment of hesitation i charged forth...

Forgot i had the 33"s on didn't I ?

i grazed the back half of the roof and left a little ding in one of the ridges... Thank Fck noone was queuing behind me!

My wife's words still ring in my ears "you'll hit that you fv<khead"...

Note to self: Wife is always right...

Why is it the truth is always funnier...

I had a funny experience like that years ago with an SES troopy fitted with a fairly large old style HF aerial. I drove into a service station without thinking much about how high the aerial was. It 'snowed' bits of broken flouro. The service station attendant wasnt too worried which was a relief.

My old troopy had a pair of aerials on the front bar that accurately told me whether I'd fit under car parks. They were great ! If I ever put a roof rack on my Patrol I'll be putting an aerial cut to the right height to avoid any embarrassing incicidents.

A mates mrs drove his 6in lifted ute under a car park in town. Destroyed 5 brand new lightforce 240s on the rollbar. Needless to say their no longer together.

Rightfully so too! lol

Because I have a steep driveway that levels of into the garage I had a strange situation where if I had my roof rack on I could only drive forwards into the garage. If I reversed up the rack would hit the roller door. Forgot about it one day and almost distroyed my roller door, luckily just damaged the rubber seal.

I remember my old ute getting stuck under a tree going through a steep creek. Soon as the front wheels came up the other side it jammed on the canopy.
Took a while to free it.

Sent from my phone so spelling doesn't matter

Haha yeah, I have this same problem... Have nearly reversed in before but luckily the missus reminded me before I hit anything.

I nearly got caught in QLD big time. I was blindly following my GPS heading into Broadbeach.
It told me to turn left at intersection, so I did. The intersrction I turned at was about 50 metres before the one I should have turned at and it was the entrance to a carpark. Wouldnt have been a problem if I hadn't had my caravan on.
Fortunately there was a small area just big enough to do some kerb hopping and get back out. Could have been a bit embarrasing.

why drive around with all your **** constantly fitted to your dungers?

just pull the **** you don't need off, put it in the shed. you don't need a high lift when you're going to coles.
You never know when you might get bogged in the city. They might benefit doing road works in the carpark and the trucks dropped some mud :p

But seriously when on the road it cant be helped

SENT FROM MY ALDI TABLET THAT STILL WORKS

Back when I was in the army I was driving the ambulance on exersize out bush and had antennas fitted to the bullbar which we normally didn't have, had a bloke with a snake bite so they called the westpac rescue helicopter in. I had to go pick him up and deliver to the airfield. After a quick brief from the pilot saying I had to reverse up the helicopter I drove up did a u turn and reversed back. Lol all of a sudden there was a lot of yelling and screaming and abuse. Turns out he was trying to get my attention as the antennas had just missed the rotating blades as I did the u turn and then when I reversed the antennas were just out of the rotating radius. If the blades weren't turning I would have hit them as when there turning they aren't "flopping" down. There made out of carbon fibre or something worth $10k each (4 of them) and would have put the helicopter out of action for a week or so while everything was checked.
