Fuel pump handles have moved to the top of the list of 'Dirty Spots' as breeding grounds for bacteria and viruses, according to an article in the local paper (don't know if it is syndicated or not...if it is you've probably read it.)
I know all the usual places to be wary of but the fuel pump hadn't crossed my mind.
When you think about it. it's got to be up there. Consider the people who fill up their vehicles. What work do they do? Are they dopers or otherwise insanitary people? Of course some of them are. And the rubbery handle...ooh Yuk.
Now I have another thing to worry about. In the past I'd never have been bothered about it, but today, with the return of 'old diseases' and pennicillin resistant bugs it can't be taken lightly.
Allegedly, many European Servo's provide plastic gloves...I think that's a good idea.
