I mentioned that you get the boost pressure feature on Ecutalk after the remap a while ago. Bloody good hey.

Not on all models :).

Unluckily for some
No not really :), nothing could/will replace my boost gauge due to the fact that I have seen inaccuracies in the past between ECU reading and actual boost, last time from memory was on a 2005.

Mine reads within 2psi of my gauge. Having said that. I have no intention of getting rid of my Autometer boost gauge.

You may be one of the lucky ones ;), I've seen 5psi differential, that is why it is not important to me.

On a side note my ecutalk display dropped the fan on/off line and went to psi, anyone else's do that? I did notice the new ecu is from an 04 and mine was an 02.
I noticed that too, mine is the original 03 ecu, I think it is the icing on the cake!
So does that mean you don't get your own ECU back when you get the remap. Not sure I like the idea of that.

If you want to do an exchange unit you can but the NADS bit will be disabled, if you want your old one back you can also but you will need to wait a week or so for the mail system, ECPT do it in a day, the post is the slowest part.

I waited for my old one and after my latest trip I am once again amazed at what it has achieved, it has made all my other mods come together with amazing results, I can change up a gear so much lower than I could before and I keep finding out new things I can do with it that I couldn't before.

Results post after fitting South Coast ECU and sorting Dawes valve.....22 psi boost, no limp, loads of torque....really good....just seems to be one problem, clutch slips when giving it some...just slightly, but sure it is....anyone else had the same?

I have a problem also since my remap - it spins the back wheels easily.

More torque will show up a weak/worn clutch too :)

Not from me or any others I've heard of, sounds like your clutch was on the edge, do the old diagnosis trick of putting it in 4th with the hand brake on and try to take off, it should try to stall straight away, if you get slippage then sadly you will know for sure the clutch is on the way out. There is no other reason attached to the remap to cause slippage other than the extra torque being a challenge for a dying clutch system.

Has any one had a dyno run with mail ecpt to see whats going on?
I will be shortly, next week or so, I want to do a quick power run before I move onto working with the turbo (I have power run dyno sheets going back years after my various mods), it will be interesting and maybe surprising, driveability and Hp don't always work together, I'm more interested in the torque anyway.

Think it might be a combo of aged clutch (256000 km) and clutch/dm not man enough for all the extra power

Do you mean NATS (Nissan Anti Theft System).

If that's a case, I have Feb 2001 spare ECU which possibly could mean that either that ECU can be re-used in my 05 or by doing exchange I might get later version.

This would be ideal for me if the swap/return fits. Having said that we had a discussion a while ago about ECU compabilities due to Zexel <-> Bosch injection pumps differences apparently.

I'm not keen to send original ECU, sure dropping it off myself and picking it up but via post no way.

Regards

Dash LED still flashes when vehicle locked, but is on solid whilst vehicle is running which is different from pre remap. Am kind of chuffed that clutch is slipping as it proves post remap power increase. Still have lift pump to fit for more grunt.

Yes sorry, NATS, typo...... There have been no issues with postage, I spoke to Harley about this when I was first considering the mod as I was sceptical as well, they have never had a problem. I don't think the zexel/bosch thing has much of an impact, but there are some differences, the best thing would be to give Harley a call on 0497444451 and he can tell you first hand.

Neither was I but I had no choice plus I didn't want an exchange ECU.

Postal method was no dramas. I posted my ECU from Brisbane on a Monday and I had it back before lunch the following Wednesday. Couldn't really ask for a faster turn around.
