I went the whole hog in it. The shaft is coming out as soon as I get the Welsh plug.
My reasoning for doing it was to clean it up to the point that it looks factory. One less vaccum line so there is less chance of vaccum leaks. The swirl control hose had almost rubbed through where it passed by the intercooler.

What a great idea. Tell the missus that the seals and bearings need doing and there Is a minor extra expense whilst you have it all apart.

You are sure clocking up the kilometres now that you have the time. :)

Gday Ross. Just reading back through some of your posts and watching a few clips, which Vac Solenoid are you using on your now dual control single dawes setup?
Another great idea from Geeyoutoo.
I didn't have a solinoid already mounted so I improvised.
You can repurpose the vac solinoid from the swirl control since its not needed anymore. I relocated mine to the bracket next to the ABS.

I was actually thinking if the replacement chips can be placed into the sockets. Might be handy to have a swap on demand to use originals, remapped and so on.
It's quite possible but not really practical due to it being a pita to remove and replace. Doable but not worth it.

Pretty good results Ross, it'll be interesting to read your results after you tweak the voltage modifier.
Did Harley mention anything about the glow plug timing?
Glow plug timing is a bit funny depending on software version. Works on some cars but not others. Weird kind of glitch in nissan's programming.
